Well, it's been a little while since I've updated my blog, so first things first.
We are now officially a family of FIVE! Lorelai is almost 15 months old and she is just the sweetest little addition to our family. She is different in so many ways from her two older brothers, but looks a HECK of a lot like Conner!
Our first few days home in April 2016.

There are only 3 weeks to go and I simply cannot believe it! How is the time seeming to pass so quickly all of a sudden?
My sweet sister-in-law and friends from my life group threw me and Lorelai the sweetest baby shower this past weekend. It was at one of my favorite restaurants, Spoon's, on the Square in McKinney and there were balloons, the sweetest diaper cake with roses on top, Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-68051178532692230292016-02-25T07:07:00.004-06:002016-02-25T07:07:34.385-06:00Life lately.
Good morning, good morning!
Today is Jason's "Friday" and it makes me so, so happy! I feel like I've hit the stage of pregnancy where my mind is going a mile a minute and I am constantly reviewing the checklist over and over in my mind. It is exhausting! So, thankfully, we'll have some extra time this weekend to knock some things off my list and free up some brain space.
We made Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-57235287376989163432016-02-10T09:42:00.002-06:002016-02-11T15:12:13.764-06:00Bumpdate! 33 weeks...Yesterday marked 33 weeks and according to my email from Baby Center, baby girl weighs as much as a pineapple! Two weeks ago in my ultrasound they estimated her to be over 18 inches long ... and this week, my email said she should be around 17 inches. She's going to be a long baby! I'm not surprised, though. The boys were both over 22 inches long when they were born.

I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest. I love the awesome ideas, but sometimes it leaves me feeling like I'm wasting my life away because I'm not making 87 freezer meals for $100 in 3 hours time, or building unique furniture, or have a magazine worthy house, or dress like a fashionista when I drop off my kids at school. That is the part I hate. But that doesn't stop my from having over Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-39224879365804182562016-01-29T08:34:00.000-06:002016-01-29T08:34:02.324-06:00More life lately ...
A little of life lately for you again this gorgeous Friday! The weather here is going to get up to 70 degrees today and I just can hardly believe it. This has been such a warm, mild winter so far. I know we are going to take advantage of the great weather and spend a lot of this weekend outside playing in the backyard and letting Conner practice his bike riding skills. Fun times this weekend!

Yesterday I had my ultrasound to check baby girl's size, since I have had 2 big boys, and it went great! She's measuring 2 weeks ahead...but the ultrasound tech acted like that wasn't a huge deal. We got to double check that she's indeed a girl, but no pics of her face. She was pressed up against the wall of the uterus, so no fluid=no picture. We caught glimpses of her sweet face, and she was Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-89099075515263630802016-01-25T06:00:00.000-06:002016-01-25T06:00:12.086-06:00Babymoon #3 Recap
We had a 5 day babymoon in the middle of January and we had the best time! It was nice to get away and spend some really good quality time together. We missed the boys, but we knew they were in great hands with Jason's parents.
We started our vacation on a Wednesday morning, so Big B and SuSu came over to pick the boys up from our house. They kept the boys at their house during the day and our Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-12350453480868552612016-01-22T06:00:00.000-06:002016-01-22T06:00:10.084-06:00Life lately...
January is flying by ... am I right?! We had such a fun time over the holidays spending lots of quality family time, but I will admit that it's nice to finally be back into a routine. Jason went back to work for a week and a half and then we took our babymoon for 5 glorious days and got back on Sunday. It was wonderful! The boys stayed with Jason's parents and had the best time. I know January Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-5679282959472007802016-01-20T10:04:00.001-06:002016-01-20T10:04:18.741-06:00Bumpdate - 30 weeks
It's true what they say about each pregnancy getting less and less documentation. I definitely took way more belly pics and posted updates when I was pregnant with Conner. Then, with Hudson, it was mostly updates about how excited I was for Conner to be a big brother and how I didn't know what it'd be like, but I was excited. A couple of belly pics. This pregnancy? I finally took a belly pic Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-85125879239219566102016-01-05T07:18:00.000-06:002016-01-05T07:18:04.869-06:00More Smith Celebrations: New Year's Day, Big Night Out with the Smiths
Starting off 2016 on the right foot ... with this handsome hottie by my side! We made it to midnight, people. We snapped this pic on New Year's Eve before calling it a night and heading to bed. This man is the absolute best and I love him so much. I'm forever on Team Jason Smith!!
On January 1, 2016 we had a nice big breakfast of pancakes and bacon to celebrate the new year. Happy New Year! I can't believe 2015 is over and we are already 4 days into 2016. It feels like the year just flew by - lots of highs, several lows, and a whole lot of regular every day life in between. I'm excited to see what 2016 will bring, but first, let's talk Christmas! It was a great week leading up to Christmas with lots of time spent with family.
First up - on Tuesday I finallyJason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-58589825774146296042015-12-22T05:46:00.002-06:002015-12-22T05:46:28.545-06:00Christmas Vacation Time!!
First off, we had a whirlwind of a week this past week. We had our Life Group Christmas party, I had 2 Fresh Spirit Christmas parties, Hudson had his Happy Birthday, Jesus! party at school, Conner got the stomach bug and missed his last day of school and his party, and we've had a few days to relax and enjoy. Really, vacation could not have come at a better time. We needed a break!

Well, hello there. Has it really been over 3 years since my last
blog post? Goodness!
I never really meant to stop blogging ... I just kind of forgot to update because LIFE. Seriously! Life with a little baby turned toddler was tricky to keep up with things like blogging. I definitely am one of those moms who didn't just fall into a natural rhythm immediately ... it took me quite a Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-40315087555634751592012-09-11T11:27:00.002-05:002012-09-11T11:27:14.326-05:00Recipes, restaurants, and reunions...We've been having a great last bit of summer, and are so glad the weather has finally cooled down some. This past weekend it got down into the 50's at night. So nice. We were able to see Jason's parents this past weekend, so that was really awesome. They came to visit for Conner's Baby Dedication, and it was a great weekend filled with family time.

Yesterday Conner was playing in his crib, and he is getting so brave! Seriously, this kid is pulling up on everything and wants to be standing as much as possible! It's cute and terrifying at the same time. Haha!
Holding onto 2 different things ... he's such a brave boy!
Pulling up on everything ... even things 4" tall...

Jason is on his way to the airport for a business trip to San Diego and I'm sitting in the kitchen with Conner listening to my Bahamas Pandora station missing him already. He works so hard and has been so busy ever since Conner was born. It's definitely been challenging, but I'm so proud of his work ethic and determination to do a great job despite the stress of it all. Let's pick up where we left off. Shall we?
12 Monkeys. Ummm, weird movie. I turned to Jason about half-way in and said, "I hope you know how much I love you." It was one of those.
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early ready to head over to Justin and Courtney's to hang out for the day. It's so cool having them here and being able to just pack up Conner'sJason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-13910837804565137872012-08-17T20:15:00.001-05:002012-08-17T20:31:38.072-05:00Kinda sorta crawling...maybe...So this past week Jason worked a TON, and saw Conner Tuesday morning and then not again until this morning due to working like a mad scientist ... but he's working so hard and doing so great at work. We are really proud of him, and it's so cool to see how much Conner just melts for his daddy. They already have such a special bond - I love having a little boy!
Mover and a shaker!

He's always in such a good mood in the mornings ... I think it's safe to say that for now, he's a morning person like his mommy.

I used my smoothie maker instead of my food processor since it was in the dishwasher. It ended up chopping up the carrots I made into pretty small pieces, but it wasn't smooth. I thought, no big deal, Conner needs some different textures anyway. I also boiled some chicken and cut minced it up really fine. Saturday we went car shopping with my SIL, Courtney. Conner came with us and did so great. He had a few fussy moments, but no meltdowns and even though it was super hot, he was a trooper.
Since the Bear finally has top and bottom teeth, his new fascination is grinding them together. It sounds so horrible. I hate it! But here he is full on grinding those baby teeth.

They had a great time, and it was fun to hear all their stories. They are definitely not relaxing vacation people ... they are sight-seeing vacation people. I totally lived vicariously through their trip ... and cannot wait to go on a trip of our own once I'm done breastfeeding Conner (which Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8303530458949931114.post-48947631872063565122012-07-25T20:58:00.002-05:002012-07-25T20:58:26.076-05:00July'n to me?I think it's safe to say that this blog is now up to date. June, for us, is always packed with things to celebrate: our anniversary, friends birthdays, Father's Day, and Jason's birthday. This year, it was a crazy, jam-packed, string of celebrations and we loved every minute. This year, Jason and I have been married for 5 years. I still can't even believe it. Five years is such a long time to be married! We are more in love now than the Jason and Alinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149890299183889358noreply@blogger.com1
